Things on the roll

Makeup artists may have already been found through the generosity of a friend who has also offered photographic services. He has some incredible work in the stage area so looking forward to collaborating with him.

First things first

Ok Can anyone suggest a location near the city, Mt Wellington, Penrose, Ellerslie that is powered but unoccupied? Looking for a location that can be donated free for a day on the 12.12.09

Preference is for a warehouse or office area with toilets, electricity as a minimum. If so contact me on bryanlowe@bryanlowe.co.nz or call me on 0211 804 939. Cheers.

Not Long To Go Now

Hi, my name is Bryan and Im a professional photographer working in Auckland New Zealand. Ive decided to take the opportunity to use my skills to help those people in our community that need help the most. Not in the most obvious of ways, but in a way that I know I can do, and one whilst seeming small can be a big deal to some. Help Portrait was set up to simply to do a good deed, giving back to the community, making people feel special. I realised I wanted to be a part of that. So here goes.......

The more I think about it however on the scale Im thinking of Im trying to make pigs fly here.. but every good cause deserves the opportunity to be exposed, and the bigger the impact the more impact it will have on the way people will feel about it and make people think. A number of people have signed up to participate in the worldwide phenomenon of help portrait. I decided to take up Aucklands challenge. I know of several other photographers who are doing this in the Auckland area as well, and Im most open to any collaboration from them. The next few weeks are going to be busy securing locations, sponsors and participants. Im planning on radio and TV coverage and buy in from prominent people.

First things first however I need a platform on which to launch all of this. Balancing this with my professional photography is going to be a challenge, however as I said I believe in this and the cause. Photography is what I do, its how I make my living, its what I live my life by, and its something I can give back to the community to a great cause. Apologies for the simple blog but I dont have time to really make it flashy :-)

For now please look at this link to view the video associated to this great cause.
